Me and My Philosophy
Karen Challis
Consultant
My background is in education. I have worked in both mainstream and independent school sectors for over 20 years. I have been a Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher and a Special Educational Needs Co-Ordinator. Apart from my leadership positions, I have taught Humanities in the secondary phase.
MY APPROACH
I am sensitive to the needs of both families and children, having worked in this field for a considerable period of time. The anxiety and frustration felt by those who are trying to navigate the system is something I try to help alleviate through an effective and supportive consultation process.

It is essential to have a patient and understanding approach when working with children and young people and I find this aspect of my work particularly rewarding.
When working with schools, Millbridge Education offers a methodical review of SEND process, provision and advice on the next steps needed. We aim to work collaboratively and professionally to enable SEND departments to achieve outstanding provision.
